Rocklands offer a substantial amount of extra curricular activities. All Key Stage 2 children attend the Friary School for swimming lessons. Whilst all of our children have the opportunity to go swimming when we hire a pool on site for a month.
All classes have the opportunity to go horse riding on a rotation basis. We attend Coton House Farm and are funded by a local charity to attend Bourne Vale Farm.
The school is very lucky to have three minibuses and all classes explore the local community and beyond at least once a half term. Places we have visited have included Blackpool for the day, Drayton Manor, Shugborough Hall, National Space Museum and more locally Lichfield Cathedral.
All Year 6 children have the chance to attend Standon Bowers for a five day residential. Year 4/5 and our SEMH class attend Beaudesert. Our complex needs class has attended Bendrigg in the Lake District.
Rocklands also offer a number of afterschool clubs including STEAM (Science based), Lego, Sensory intergration, Art, Music and a wide variety of sporting activities. These are offered on a rota basis and letters each term will be sent out.
This year we are also working with Liberty - They offer a Friday 'life skills' youth club after school for children aged 8 years and over.
We also work with a variety of partner, Lichfield Cathedral School on Music Share Project, Shakespeare in Schools, Cricket association and Wolverhampton University Judo school.
We also offer a Breakfast Club every day - please click below for further information.
