We hope you have had a restful Summer holiday and are ready for the start of Autumn 2024.

In Toucan Class, we follow the Pre-formal Curriculum. We use PECS to support the children’s communication and Attention Autism activities to develop attention and listening skills. Independence is encouraged daily and learning often takes place through play and exploration.

Key days:

P.E – Monday and Thursday – Please send your child into school wearing their P.E kit on these days

Community Visits - Monday (am) - You will be notified when it is you child's turn to go out on the community visits

Swimming - Tuesday (am) - Please send your child in with a swim kit and a towel. Please label the swim bag with your child's name. Remember to send a swim nappy if applicable

Library – Wednesday – Your child will choose a book to borrow from the Toucan library - Please return their                book every Wednesday so that they can choose another one to bring home for the following week
